Stella Rosa Black, Semi-Sweet - 25.4 Fluid ounce, $12.99
To create Stella Rosa Wines, the Riboli family chose the region of Asti, a province in Piedmont, Italy, as the source for its aromatic grapes, which have become the hallmark for the Stella Rosa style of wines. The area of Asti has particular significance to the family, as it is the birthplace of the family matriarch, Maddalena Riboli. The first Stella Rosa was Moscato D’Asti, which has become a flagship of the brand. Soon after, Stella Rosa Rosso was created – the brand’s first semi-sweet, semi-sparkling red wine blend, and first wine of its kind to be brought to America from Asti. The rapid phenomenal successes of these two wines began the lineage of Stella Rosa, which now boasts over 35 distinctive flavors.
Josh Cabernet Sauvignon, North Coast, Vintage 2010 - 750 Millilitre, $11.99
My father's name was Joseph, as is mine, but his friends just called him Josh. Growers, that I call friends, all lend a hand in this, winemakers wine, what we jokingly refer to as a vin de garage; a handcrafted wine we made just for ourselves. This Cabernet Sauvignon created in a Bordeaux style blend, offers ripe black currant flavors, and deep dark fruit nuances, accented by spice and smoke, matched with a long soft finish. A wine that is bold and expressive but unassuming, and approachable. It's funny how these characteristics seem to remind me of someone that I knew. It's a wine I made for my family, my friends, and a man I called Dad. Alc. 14.1% by vol. Blended & bottled by Joseph Carr, Sonoma, CA.
Meiomi Pinot Noir, 2016 - 750 Millilitre, $19.99
Monterey County. Santa Barbara County. Sonoma County. Unifying three of California's most notable coastal areas, from the maritime unit of Sonoma, to the chilly fog of Santa Barbara and the howling winds of Monterey in between - our Pinot Noir vineyards lay the foundation for one dynamic blend. With a soft hand in the collar and gentle winemaking techniques, the wine evolves into an elegant balance of juice and fruit, weight and restraint. Monterey County 60% Santa Barbara County 23% Sonoma County 17%. Meiomi (May-OH-Mee), Meaning 'coast' in the language of the California Wappo tribe, truly symbolizes the origin of this Pinot Noir. Each of the vineyards chosen for Meiomi offers the best expression of their appellations along the California coast; a layered blend of Santa Barbara's spice-filled aromas Sonoma's bright berry flavors; and Monterey's rich textures. The wines are carefully crafted so that these characteristics continue to enhance and build on each other for an evocative and memorable Pinot Noir. meiomi.com. Alc. 13.7% by vol.
